Hupfeld Model A Phonoliszt-Violina

The Phonoliszt-Violina was offered in two different case styles, (1) the Model A (pictured at right), and (2) the Model B (illustrated elsewhere in the web site). The majority of surviving Phonoliszt-Violinas are in the Model B case.

A single roll mechanism was standard in both the Model A and Model B machines. However, the case was easily modified to accommodate such specialties as the installation of duplex (side by side) roll changers for use in motion picture theaters.
