The left violin plays the "D" string, the center one plays the
"A" string, while the right violin plays only the "E" string.
The violins rotate outward into the rotating horsehair bow by
pivoting on a pin, which is located at the center of each violin's
scroll (at the end of the fingerboard). The speed of the circular
bow and the degree of pressure against the violins is adjustable,
and is controlled by expression perforations in the music roll.
