By means of a lever situated on top of the tracker bar (behind the music roll paper and not visible) the instrument can play either Phonoliszt rolls (piano only) or Phonoliszt-Violina rolls (piano and violin). The various emblems decorating the roll case mechanism frontispiece have not been identified.
