Pipework in the left side "Deep Bass" section, and installation of pipework in the "Solo Melody" section.

Deep Bass pipework, 60 pipes total -- (left to right):

  • 12 Bassoons (Fagott -- reed pipes voiced to imitate a bassoon) -- metal resonators not installed.
  • 12 Trombones (Posaune -- horn reed pipes with wood boots and tapered wood resonators) -- wood resonators not installed.
  • 12 Gedackt pipes (large wooden stopped flutes)
  • 12 Violoncellos (wood violin pipes)
  • 12 Bass Violins (large wood violin pipes)

Looking into the left side deep-bass compartment only four out of the five pipe ranks are visible. The Bassoon rank, inside the case framework at far left, is completely obscured by the supporting structure of the case.
