This "modernistic" case style is thought to be the later incarnation of what was a few years earlier advertised as the Model Pfau (Peacock) Pianella. Although the animated scene in this catalogue illustration of the Philipps Model 47 is different than the earlier Model Pfau, the lighting effects and its musical specifications are otherwise identical to the instrument Wurlitzer offered as its Style 47 Mandolin PianOrchestra.
