Note the original (uncolored) chipped glass, which is set in polished brass piping, and that creates a "fuzzy" and somewhat mysterious glimpse of the interior mechanical components. The roll-case access door is fitted with a geometric pattern of beveled glass mirrors, which are also set in brass piping.
