Turkey Dressing -- Johanna (Meglen) Perme

2 lbs. hamburger -- not lean
6 sprigs parsley -- no stems
2 qt. pan of bread cubes -- not dry
1/2 cup sugar or more to taste
5 eggs
salt and pepper

Fry hamburger.
Add parsley and bread to hamburger.
Add sugar -- remove from heat.
Add one egg at a time and stir in (otherwise egg cooks).
Add salt and pepper.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Cool before stuffing turkey.

The Perme family remembers that their mother also put finely chopped turkey liver in the dressing.
