This catalogue photograph was probably taken sometime during the mid to late 1890s, and beautifully illustrates the ornate architectural beauty that was commonplace with Welte Cottage Orchestrions built prior to 1910-12. Welte Orchestrions manufactured after this date tended to have relatively simple, much less ornate case designs, leaving forever behind the deliciously decorated cases that had previously been the hallmark of Welte casework construction.
