Figure 13. The Style 1 is the smallest of the Cottage Orchestrions. With 44 playing notes, the pipework consists of Wien Flote, Zinn, and Clarinette, for a total of 107 pipes. It has a crescendo register that controls the volume of the organ by means of a swell shade, which has only two positions, open and closed, but a restriction in the vacuum supply to the controlling swell pneumatic slows its movement. Percussion is limited to a snare drum and a triangle.
