Early style Seeburg vacuum distribution box from style H #54,513, made in 1922. The two pedal valves are located behind the upper valve plate, and the third valve below is for the action cutoff pneumatic located inside the box. This shuts off vacuum to the player mechanism during rewind. The vacuum reservoir is mounted on the right side of the box, and is narrower in smaller styles.

Late vacuum distribution box from early KT Special #159,898 made in 1924. This is the style used in pianos with a two-way volume control switch. The vacuum reservoir is on the back, the soft vacuum regulator is on the front (facing right in this photo), and the two smaller pneumatics on the side are for soft on/off and the action cutoff.

The design is similar to that of the style used with the two-way switch immediately above this picture, but this has an added pneumatic above the soft regulator for a medium vacuum level. (Greyhound #166,043, made in 1928.)
